Troubleshooting
My Google Calendar isn't showing
The account has to be added to your iPhone first
HyFlow shows the calendars registered on your iPhone. Your Google calendar has to be added there as an account.
Installing the Gmail or Google Calendar app is not enough. Those apps keep events to themselves, so they never reach your iPhone's calendars.
1. Add your Google account to the iPhone
- 1Open the iPhone
Settingsapp - 2Go to
Appsand chooseCalendar - 3Tap
Calendar Accounts - 4Under
Add Account, chooseGoogleand sign in - 5After signing in, check that
Calendarsis turned on
Mail and contacts can stay off if you don't need them. Calendars alone is enough.
2. Check the iPhone Calendar app
Once added, open the iPhone's built-in Calendar app first and see whether your Google events are there.
If they are, they will reach HyFlow too. If they aren't, the problem is still with the account.
3. When only some calendars are missing
With several calendars in one Google account, only some of them may come across to the iPhone. Calendars you created yourself, or ones shared with you, tend to be the ones left out.
Sign in to Google Calendar in a desktop browser and choose which calendars to send to your iPhone on the sync settings (Sync select) page. calendar.google.com/calendar/syncselect takes you straight there.
A calendar left unchecked there never reaches the iPhone, so HyFlow cannot show it either.
4. Turn it on in HyFlow
Adding an account adds another calendar. Check that it is turned on in the menu at the top of the Calendar screen.
5. When it's slow to appear
Right after adding an account, events take a while to come down. Set how often to fetch under Settings > Apps > Calendar > Calendar Accounts > Fetch New Data. Push or a shorter interval brings them in sooner.
If older events are missing, choose All Events under Sync on the same screen.
When events you make don't reach Google
HyFlow lets you choose which calendar to save to when creating an event. If the default calendar is an iCloud one, it never goes to Google. Pick a Google calendar when you create the event.
